They carry out support business such as hygiene, nutrition, water, education while cooperating with the government and the NGO of the country/community.

According to the UNICEF, many children die cause by poverty or calamity, insanitary, disease all over the world. But, The children have a right to grow up in good health by born healthy and get safe water, enough nourishment. And, they have own life or future,so we/everyone must save them.
There is the way to save children right now. It's the fund-raising. We can contribute vaccine or food, clothes to the children by calling or using Internet.
It's sorrowful to die immediately that they were born.
If I work at UNICEF, I hope that can save many children as possible.

Work Place Questionairre

This is a my score.

Your score is 50 on a scale of 0 to 100 = Preference for Tolerance for Ambiguity

●Your score indicates that you have a moderate Tolerance for Ambiguity and might be willing to give up job security for more opportunity.

●In countries/cultures with a Tolerance for Ambiguity, conflict in organizations is perceived as natural, and rules may be broken for pragmatic reasons.

●If you work in countries/cultures with a Need for Certainty, such as Japan, France, and Greece, you might react by creating a micro-environment that would shield you from the burden of what you might perceive as excessive structures, rules, and regulations.

●In countries with a high Need for Certainty, loyalty to an employer is seen as an advantage; a specialist career is preferred over a career in management.

I compered with Japan and France.

According to this result, Japan and France, Greece is a best place for me to work.

I can agree to it except first paragraph. First paragraph write "you might be willing to give up job security for more opportunity".

But, I think I want to get a steady job. So, I don't want to give up job.

Then, I prefer not to conflict in organizations, but I found it was perceived as natural. Almost all companies work hard by competing with each other. And, to cooperate with everyone in doing the work is very important. So, I thought loyalty to an employer is important thing too.

Names and Addresses

1. Are feelings emotions and facial expressions universal across borders, happy, sad, etc...?

In Japan, when the people ate delicious foods, they say "Oishii" or "Umai” with big smile. Maybe..they don’t use gesture. But, Italy expresses their feelings by use gesture and say “Bono”.
When I went to America, I was surprised Americans cheerful attitude. There was nothing stiffness like Japanese. And they have many facial expressions. When they felt funny, they laugh with big smile.
But, Japanese sometimes put on an insincere smile.

Welcome Colgate University Students!

I talked with the Colgate University students who are twenty.
First, we talked about ourselves. She came from Shanghai that is to say her parents live in there. She lived in dormitory in her university. When I heard it, I couldn't believe. I also live in by myself in Hiroshima now and I often come back to my hometown. So I thought she is an independent peoson and enjoy her school life. I must follow her...
And she was belonging to track and field club and love running. Her school is famous for their sports proglams so I thought that the school matches her very much.

Then, we talked about part-time job. Most students worked at their university and she also worked there. I was surprised a little because we don't have place to work in my university. I couldn't imagine to work at University. Maybe her university must be very large.

I think this class was good oppotunity to exchange own opinion with other countries student. And I could know about diffrent culture. I thought that want to skill up my speaking ability.
